Any advice for a newbie!?

MarleneC
Hi everyone! I am on my first day of phase 2... Is there any advice anyone can give me?! I started the injections 3 days ago. My biggest thing is I dont eat alot of vegetables. I am at 157 and want to lose 30 pounds. To be at my weight before I had my son. I am going through an icky divorce and sunk in such a depression my weight just kinda of went out of control. I did the hcg injections when I was 20 and lost some weight I wanted to get rid of after I graduated but the only major restrictions was no dairy, but eggs were ok. And I survived after eggs, fruits and rice cakes. But reading all the information I have from the doctors. Im curious about the eggs and rice cakes now... Any advice for a picky eater!?

I did eggs last time, cause i got sick of the meat and did not lose as much weight. this time i'm going the strict way. regarding veggies: my "buddy" juiced hers put a bit of vanilla stevia in it, and then froze them into ice cubes to suck on at night. also with the strawberries and apples. i think i'm gonna try that bit. cindy

Thank you!! I took my last shot two days ago. And my total weight loss as of Saturday was 15 pounds. Im kinda bummed about the results because I stuck to every little rule!! But the doctors told me since I didnt have that much weight to lose it would be a little harder for me! So here in a month I will try to get this last 15 off! I had a boiled egg maybe once a week to kinda break things up a bit! Lol but thats a great idea about the veggies I will try that for sure! Thanks so much for the advice!

forget about eating out in the beginning.
there are stevia flavored sodas.

what i discovered is I put a harney & sons hot cinnamon spice tea bag in my cold water for the day.  cinnamon actually helps blood sugar and cuts your appetite.  it was my lifesaver through out the diet and even now...

What we found with our patients, is that if they get their essential fats, they may not lose weight as fast at first, but the weight loss is more consistent, and they keep it off better.

Eggs are full of healthy fats. Even the cholesterol in eggs is good for you, especially due to the fact that the diet is ketogenic. The body is more adapted to burning through fats, and fats are good for the heart, brain, joints, and skin.

We limit the yolks to 1 yolk, with 3 whites. So the individual will get:

  • 1 whole egg
  • 2 egg whites

Some of the skin problems that women have on the diet can be linked to not getting enough essential fats.

Go for spring water. It is healthier and better in taste.
